CORONAVIRUS

Dear Valued Customer,

Over these past few weeks, we have been focused on responding to the pandemic in a way that supports our customers and the continuous flow of goods, while ensuring the safety of our associates, customers, and business partners. This required the implementation of many new policies and procedures and provided the opportunity to test our business continuity plans. We have been learning a lot and there is more to learn. I have been grateful for the hard work and dedication of the supply chain team at Competitive Choice, Inc. and the partnership and understanding of our customers. At this time, I want to provide an update on where we are with our operations, inventory, and transportation.

Operations
Our distribution center has been open throughout the pandemic. A key component of these plans is leveraging other DCs to take on additional volume. In most instances, our DCs have been very effective at doing this. Early on, we implemented policies and guidance to associates to protect their safety and the safety of their co-workers. In addition, we increased social distancing, the frequency of cleaning, and are now beginning to provide masks across all our DCs.

Inventory
There are some categories that continue to have supply challenges – sanitizers, disinfecting products, PPE. Competitive Choice, Inc. is working closely with these suppliers to acquire product and get visibility into availability. In our discussions, we expect that there will be supply challenges for the next few months. As product arrives, we have new processes to support the quick turnaround of these products to get them to our customers quickly. Many of these products have a high number of backorders so, in most cases, product is getting depleted as we fulfill as many backorders as possible. Our Merchandising team is also working to identify new and non-traditional suppliers of these high demand products. As we identify them, we are expediting their onboarding and availability. As inventory becomes available, efforts will continue to rebalance the network.
